A Memorial Service was held for Judith Breitweiser, Aloha Chapter #25, in Hawaii on 6 May 2010.  Judith was born in Germany in 1928, moving to the US in 1952 to marry Albert Breitwieser III.  She had a long career as a Military Wife.  After Al's passing in 1990, she became very active in SMW, (including serving as President of Hawaii Chapter), MOAA and other organizations until her passing on May 2, 2010.
Dorothy Pearsall, 90, founding President of Chapter #18, Staten Island Chapter, died on 30 April 2010.  Dorothy started championing widows by starting the Society of Military Widows chapter after her husband's death in 1978.  Dorothy was extremely active in schools, volunteering, serving on local councils, a past president of AARP Westerleigh, and was a former member of the Staten Island Business and Professional Women's Club.

Donations have been made to the Society in her name by Debra Capic, Fran Socolick, Mr. and Mrs. George Bossert, Marie Lancaster, Joan Buscomi, Cecilia McGivney, Kathryn and Janet Zahakos, and Christina Chukalas

Judith Breitwieser
Chapter #14 lost their elegant lady Pauline Pennock, on July 17th.  Pauline always dressed to the nines, and wore the most beautiful hats and suits.   She was the leader of the VA program for years, baking cakes for monthly birthday parties for different wards.  She will be sorely missed.
